Scalpay, Outer Hebrides, a small island close to the Isle of Harris. Only the construction of a bridge to Harris saved the population of Scalpay. Without the bridge, the island would habe been abandoned, an example of successfull rural regional development in Scotland. Europe, Scotland, July
