Steve Giddings makes his way up a frozen waterfall at the Ouray Ice Festival in Ouray, Colorado. Ice climbers require ice axes, crampons, rope and harness as well as a great deal of balance and focus. The Ouray Ice Festival is located in the Uncompahgre Gorge and is held once a year during Martin Luther King weekend.

Kelly Cordes makes his way up a frozen waterfall using ice axes and crampons as well as balance and focus. The Ouray Ice Park is located in the Uncompahgre Gorge in Ouray Colorado. The Park is funded mostly by the Ouray Ice Festival that happens every Martin Luther King weekend and by the festivals corporate sponsers.
