Plain of Jars, Central Laos - February 2003: A dramatic sunset forms a dramatic backdrop behind the mysterious Plain of Jars in central Laos. The stone jars are still an enigma for archeologists, who have dated the relics to the period between 500 BC and 800 AD. There are many theories as to what the jars were used for and how they were created, but none of the theories are considered definitive.
